Cub Scouts Pack 5150 invites families throughout Wylie and the surrounding community to join us for our Cub Scouts Open House — a fun, come-and-go evening where kids can jump right into the adventure while parents learn more about everything Scouting has to offer.

This isn’t a sit-down information meeting! Bring the kids and let them get a taste of Cub Scouts with hands-on activities including:

🎣 Fishing

🚀 Pneumatic Rockets

🔥 S’mores

🌲 Outdoor fun

🤝 A chance to meet Scouts, leaders, and other local families

…and more!

While the kids are having fun, parents can meet our Pack leaders, ask questions, and learn what Cub Scouts actually looks like throughout the year.

⚜️ So…What Do Cub Scouts Actually Do?

A little bit of everything!

Cub Scouts is about giving kids opportunities to explore, build confidence, learn new skills, make friends, and have some seriously fun adventures along the way.

Throughout the year, Scouts may go camping and hiking, fish, race Pinewood Derby cars, build and create, learn outdoor skills, participate in community service, attend special events, earn awards and adventures, and try things they may have never had the opportunity to do before.

And no — you don’t need any Scouting experience to join! Most families start exactly where you are: curious about the program and wondering if it might be a good fit.

💙 Scouting Is for the Whole Family

Pack 5150 is a family Cub Scout Pack for both boys and girls, giving kids the chance to experience Scouting while families make memories together.

Cub Scouts provides something that’s becoming harder and harder to find: opportunities for kids to put down the electronics, interact face-to-face, spend time outdoors, solve problems, take on challenges, and discover just how much they’re capable of.

Along the way, they’re developing leadership, responsibility, independence, teamwork, resilience, and confidence — often without even realizing they’re learning because they’re too busy having fun.
